KZESO is an engineering and manufacturing company specialising in flash-butt rail welding equipment and integrated railway solutions. Our team brings decades of hands-on experience in designing, building and servicing rail welding machines.
Dear Partners and Colleagues,
I have devoted more than 50 years of my career to flash-butt rail welding — working with engineers of the E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute school and with generations of specialists who designed, built and serviced rail welding machines for railways worldwide.
KZESO brings these people and this know-how together in an independent company built for today's railways: engineering and manufacturing in Ukraine, assembly and service in the European Union, and a team that knows these machines from the inside.
Our commitment does not end with delivery. Our specialists support customers throughout the equipment lifecycle — commissioning, service, training, modernisation and spare parts.
Yaroslav Mikitin Chairman of the Supervisory Board, KZESO LLC Hero of Ukraine • Honoured Machine Builder of Ukraine
KZESO LLC develops, manufactures and supports flash-butt rail welding equipment. Our engineers and managers have worked with this technology for decades.
Our expertise extends beyond the welding machine itself. KZESO brings together rail welding technology, mechanical engineering, hydraulics, electrical systems, programmable process control and system integration to develop equipment for different railway applications and operating environments.
Today, KZESO combines its engineering and manufacturing base in Ukraine with production and assembly capabilities within the European Union and cooperation with EU-based partners, supporting international supply, service and project implementation.
EARLY 1960s — mobile flash-butt welding
The E.O. Paton welding school develops mobile flash-butt rail welding technology and the first K-type mobile machines, bringing the process directly onto the track.
1970s–1990s — successive generations
Mobile and stationary K-type machines evolve for railway construction, track renewal and rail welding plants. Development expands from the weld itself to mechanics, hydraulics and electrical systems.
2000s — pulsed flashing
Pulsed flash-butt welding enables stable, uniform heating of high-strength rails. Specialised equipment appears for railway switch components.
2010s — digital process control
Programmable controllers and computerised registration of the parameters of every welded joint become standard.
TODAY — KZESO LLC
K-series machines, containerised systems and KCM007 mobile complexes. Manufacturing in Oleksandria, assembly and service in Poland and Latvia.
K-series machines are based on flash-butt welding technology developed by the E.O. Paton school. Our engineers apply this approach — the machine as part of a complete technological process.
That process extends beyond the weld itself. It includes rail clamping and alignment, flashing and upsetting, flash removal, hydraulic systems, cooling, electrical power, programmable process control and welding data monitoring.
KZESO supplies, installs and services equipment from facilities in Ukraine, Poland and Latvia. Different railway networks bring different requirements — rail profiles, operating environments, production volumes and mobility — and we engineer each solution around them.
KZESO develops and manufactures rail welding equipment and integrated railway solutions for railway construction, track renewal, maintenance, stationary rail welding production and specialised railway applications.
Our work combines our team's decades of specialised experience with modern engineering, programmable process control and project-specific system integration. Our manufacturing and cooperation network in Ukraine and the EU supports equipment supply, project implementation and technical support across different railway markets.
Whether you are planning a new rail welding facility, selecting mobile welding equipment, developing an integrated rail welding system or modernising existing equipment, our team is ready to discuss your technical requirements.
